Job Description

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Materials & Inventory Management

  • Maintain and enhance materials and inventory management guideline for the Malaysia Wells Team
  • Responsible to verify new purchases are not within EMEPMI stock
  • Work closely with Global Inventory Management group for Annual Materials Review; developing depletion and surplus identification strategy
  • Liaise with PETRONAS for surplus reutilization and management
  • Materials lead for Wells in the internal and external Audits

Materials at rig site

  • Reviews monthly materials report from the rig. Ensures materials received on the rig, utilize for the wells and returned to KSB are properly documented. Sample checks against the inventories of materials in custody of contractors. If there are discrepancies or gaps, works with the materials-man to address and timely close the gaps
  • Reviews and ensures the Backload Sheets are prepared for transfer for materials back to KSB
  • Ensures end of well (EOW) inventories are conducted after completion of each well. Reviews EOW inventory report and initiates accounting entries for EOW transfers in IPES – Materials at KSB
  • Responsible for the Materials Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data gathering and reporting for Wells materials
  • Monitors materials return from the rig to KSB for inspections, repairs and MOH to ensure the disposition are completed and in a timely manner
  • Coordinates reviews of surplus materials after completion of each drilling program and identifies future usage and return to warehouse stock
  • Coordinates reviews long outstanding MOH items at KSB Warehouse and vendors’ yard and work with KSB materialsman to prepare AMDF for write-off obsolete/materials in bad conditions
  • Ensure documentation for materials returned for credit is complete and credits timely obtained
  • Periodically, coordinate reviews of slow moving stock (SMOG) in account 225 and work with Procurement to write-off materials in bad condition, no future usage, obsolete/expired materials
  • Periodically conducts independent inventory for materials kept at vendors’ yard and reconcile against the spreadsheet maintains by KSB materialsman. Follow-ups and resolves discrepancies identified during the independent inventory

Materials Costs and Well AFEs

  • Assists Wells Accounting to review actual well cost for materials against the Final Cost Estimate and works with Wells Accounting to ensure material costs charged to well AFEs are corrects. Initiate adjustments for wrong charges to the well AFEs
  • Analyses material costs for batch drilling and initiate allocation of costs based on FCE report 
    • EMEPMI Warehouse and Vendor Interface for Materials Management and Requisition
  • OCTG forecasting for EMEPMI’s drilling/workover programs
  • Interface with vendors/OEM on materials master information for new requisitions including initiating new material requisition
  • Competent with IPES to review warehouse inventory for well materials and support engineering team in reviewing IPES for materials
  • Coordinate purchase of materials and equipment between Well Engineers and Procurement

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10-15 years of closely related professional experience
  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • Strong knowledge of SAP material catalogs and search tools
