Job Description/responsibilities:
Drilling Engineer
•Perform the drilling engineering activities related to the HPHT or development and appraisal wells drilling programme to include but not limited to well design, well planning, tendering, daily and end-of-well reporting, evaluation of new and existing technologies, and assist in development of policies, procedures and standards in support of the development.
•Liaise with subsurface team to develop and agree the Basis for Well Design for each well.
•Assist in budget & AFE preparation, daily cost monitoring and invoice processing.
•Participate proactively in risk assessment activities, including HAZIDs and HAZOPs.
•Responsible and accountable for the end of well reports, Cost Summary, NPT and Post Drilling Review.
•Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.


Qualification/Trade:
•Hold at least a BSc in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
•Have at least 15 years (SDE-HPHT), 10 years (SDE) and 4-6 years (DE) with practical and offshore experience in Drilling Engineering.
•Have prior experience in planning and providing operational support to drilling HPHT well, development and appraisal type of wells
•Positive thinking, strong analytical analysis, be self-motivated to accomplish world-class results.
•Have a sufficiently broad experience base to be able to exercise independent thought and decision making.
•Be computer literate, have a strong written and verbal command of English
•Preferably to have worked previously on wells offshore Malaysia or in S. E. Asia.
•Be in possession of a current IWCF Well Control Certificate to Supervisors level and HUET.
