Position: Night Drilling Supervisor Client: Oil & Gas Industry Project: Malaysia Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Duration: 0 Commencement Date: 0000-00-00 Job Description/responsibilities: Night Drilling Supervisor •Report directly to the Senior Drilling Supervisor offshore and the Drilling Manager onshore. •Ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental policies, standards and procedures at the well-site. •Participate in all safety meetings, and pre-job safety meetings (including Job Safety Analysis) to ensure that any risks associated with performing any tasks are reduced to as low as reasonably practical. Reinforce the right to stop work, if hazards are likely to cause an incident, to all personnel. •Ensure that the worked performed offshore is completed in accordance with all CLIENT operating policies and procedures. •Liaise with onshore engineering team to ensure compliance with the Project’s Goals and Objectives. •Provide support to the offshore Completions Supervisors whenever required to do so. •Personally supervise all critical well site operations. •Perform timely Daily Reporting of each well’s progress utilising CLIENT supplied software, to include the Daily Drilling Report, Casing and Cementing Reports, and Leak-off Test reports. •Coordinate all operations at the well site with the Drilling Contractor, and service companies to ensure compliance with the work programmers, to include preparation of Daily Work Instructions and Weekly Forecasts. •Liaise closely with the Logistics Co-coordinator to ensure the timely arrival and departure of items to and from the rig, including maintenance of the rental register. •Manage well-site inventory of consumable drilling supplies (such as cement, Bartie, bits and nozzles). •Perform all necessary engineering calculations in support of the daily operations. Qualification/Trade: •Be a graduate engineer or equivalent. •Have at least 7 years practical experience in the Drilling Industry. •Have at least 2 years prior experience in the role. •Have prior experience in development drilling projects. •Be self-motivated to accomplish world-class results. •Have a sufficiently broad experience base to be able to exercise independent thought and decision making. •Good interpersonal skills. •Be computer literate. •Have a strong written and verbal command of English.
