Position: HSE Advisor. Client: Oil & Gas Industry Project: Malaysia Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Duration: 1 Commencement Date: 0000-00-00 Job Description/responsibilities: HSE Advisor. •Shared responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all persons at any company Site, including staff, contractors and visitors and for local environmental safety. •Manage the activities and operational work program as supervised by the appropriate Supervisors. Ensuring that the operations and work activities are performed in accordance with the applicable Management System, company Policies, Procedures, work instructions and regulatory requirements. •Motivate, consult with and ensure the participation of the company team and visiting contractors, in the ongoing development and implementation of safety at the workplace. •Report all accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences to the Country Manager. Ensure reports are legible, comprehensive and timely, and any additional information pertinent to the report is attached as per Management System Procedure. •Attend and actively encourage the STOP Safety System and other safety initiatives as per HSE Guidelines. Qualification/Trade: •Degree in Engineering / Science or proven experience in a similar HSE position. •Specialised knowledge in Safety Techniques and Management and an approved accreditation from National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health for working in the offshore oil & gas industry. Has good understanding of oil and gas project activities including, exploration and drilling. •Minimum ten (10) years HSE experience of which five (5) years must have been in the offshore oil and gas or petrochemical industry. •Minimum ten (10) years experience as a safety professional. •Self motivated. •Strong computer literacy. •Strong organization skills. •Strong team building skills. •A sound knowledge of the business drivers affecting company. •Valid BOSET / HUET training. •Control of Major Emergencies training. •Fluent in English both written and spoken.
