Position: Lead / Senior Pipeline Engineer - Onshore & Offshore Client: Oil & Gas Industry Project: Thailand Location: Bangkok, Thailand Duration: 1 Commencement Date: 0000-00-00 Job Description/responsibilities: Lead / Senior Pipeline Engineer - Onshore & Offshore •Lead the pipeline design team on onshore or offshore feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC/ EPCM projects. •Advise the Department Manger the manpower and skill levels required to ensure smooth execution of the project. •Assign work to the project team appropriately. •Liaise with other departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors and third parties as required by the project. •Participate in inter-disciplines, project, client and vendor meetings. •Overall responsible for the manhour & schedule monitoring and control and quality of the work produced. •Primary involvement in a typical project includes: oDevelop pipeline design basis oPrepare pipeline material, coating, testing and installation specifications. oPrepare pipeline material requisition; perform technical bid evaluation/ analysis and vendor data review. oPerform pipelines mechanical calculations including line pipes and bend material grade and wall thickness; buckling check; curvature; spanning, VIV and expansion calculations. oPerform pipeline on-bottom stability analysis; riser and expansion spool stress analysis. oPerform pipeline crossing and external corrosion protection design. oPerform pipeline route selection, trenching/ backfilling and crossing design. oPerform pipeline material and internal and external corrosion study/ design. oPerform pipeline installation analysis/ study. oProvide material take off and bill of materials. •Prepare scope of work, manhour and cost estimates for proposals. •Groom young pipeline engineers and provide advice to peers in his field of expertise. Depending on the nature of the project his/her activities would involve site visits and deployment to projects task forces outside office in Bangkok including client offices and other Operating Centers. Qualification/Trade: •Bachelor Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering; Marine Engineering; Civil/ Structural Engineering or equivalent. •Minimum fifteen (15) years experience in pipeline engineering design work in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemical, Petrochemical or related industries. •Experience should cover at least eight (8) years of pipeline engineering design with Engineering Consultant or EPC/ EPCM Contractor. •Highly motivated and strong leadership quality. •Experience in flexible pipes and umbilical is an advantage. •Competent user of pipeline engineering software – AutoPipe, AGA & Offpipe. •Conversant with international codes and standards – ANSI, ASME, API & DNV.
