Job Description/responsibilities:
Project HSE
•Provide advice to line management, including Contractors on environment, occupational health and safety matters, to ensure that the conduct of activities are in full compliance to regulatory and Company requirements
•Carry out work site inspection to ensure that on environment, occupational health and safety risk associated with work activities as well as risk posed by machinery, plant, equipment, substance and appliance are managed to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP)
•Participate in incident investigation, ensuring that the incident investigation and accurate identification of incident causation
•Implement on environment, occupational health and safety programs, in compliance with regulatory requirements, with a view to enhancing the level of occupational safety and health awareness at all work locations
•Monitor the conduct of work site activities to ensure full compliance to legal act and regulatory requirement (eg Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and its Regulations, etc) and regularly appraise line management, including providing invention plan as necessary
•Provide on environment, occupational health and safety related training, coaching and mentoring at work site throughout the division including contractors to enhance competency on occupational safety and health with a view to promoting safe work practices
•Research changes and development in regulatory requirements and industry best practices; evaluate and propose the necessity to adopt the changes into Division’s Level 3 Safety Procedures and Guidelines
•Coach, mentor and guide staff and conduct periodic performance review. Counsel/motivate staff to instill right mindset, behaviors and values to attain high performance standard
•Determine capability requirement for department and develop staff and leaders through acquisition of skills and coaching
•Communicate and interpret the objectives and provisions of the Codes of Conduct (COC) and HSE policies to all levels of staff. Undertake appropriate mitigation/ intervention programs and sustain high staff discipline and industrial harm

Qualification/Trade:
Qualification
•Possess a B. Sc in Engineering/Science with 5 years experience in oil and gas industries and Project HSE OR Diploma with 8 years working experience in oil and gas industries and Project HSE
•Registered Safety and Health Officer
•Possess a valid Offshore Passport
Competencies
•Working experience preferably in the exploration & production industries and with knowledge on HSEMS, Risk Management and Emergency Response
•Knowledge of Microsoft software system or equivalent
•Proficient or moderate in English language
