Job Description

 

MAIN FUNCTIONS: Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Provides technical support for the engineering process. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Back up responsibilities for the Project Manager as required.

 

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledgeable on crane operation and maintenance.
  • Well verse with technical and regulatory requirement of pedestal crane installation.
  • Good written, spoken and understanding of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Lead for crane overhaul/major repair activity by oversee the planning and execution of project until completion within budget and timeline.
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives by engaging all relevant stakeholders and SME on technical feasibility study
  • Develop project plan and manage changes to scope, schedule and cost upon endorsement by stakeholders
  • Coordinate internal resources and contractor for smooth execution and manage project risk including contingency plan
  • Review procedure, inspections plan, Gantt chart and other project documents and leverage to SME and field team for endorsement
  • Engage contractor and management team to steward activity progress in compliance with safety and WMS requirement
  • Drives contractor performance and effectiveness to ensure schedule compliance
  • Demonstrates strong  leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups; able to network effectively across organizations at various levels.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize task and resource and proactively engage key contacts to address concern reported
  • Field visits and witness of site assessment test (SAT) or factory acceptance test (FAT)
  • Steward cost management on projects assigned to meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Manage and maintain project related documentations and tracking tools.
  • Track project performance records and lesson learnt as continuous effort to improve project planning and execution efficiency

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • More than 8 years’ experience in Offshore/Upstream facilities
  • More than 10 years as Project Engineer in planning, coordination and execution of offshore project
  • Ability to demonstrate behavioral skills via specific past experiences
