Job Description

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team’s goals, objectives, and procedures. Assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills

 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Familiar or has experience in custody, allocation or operational meter maintenance and operations, implementing applicable measurement standards (e.g.  PETRONAS Procedures and Guidelines for Upstream Activities (PPGUA), API, ISO, AGA, ASTM, Measurement and  Allocation for Production – MAP) which include:

–   Provide technical support to ensure compliance to applicable measurement standards

–   Focal contact for operations when troubleshooting is required offshore

–   Assist measurement engineer to interface with 3rd party when required

–   Assist measurement engineer with allocation (HyPAS) activities

–   Assist audit team whenever auditing of metering systems are performed

–   Participate in factory acceptance test, site acceptance test, and commissioning of metering systems

–   Review monthly calibration/proving reports and submit to measurement engineer for review

–   Prepare/review/update Operating, Validation, Sealing and Sampling procedures

–   Ensure diligence in managing deviations through MODR process and working with the measurement engineer to ensure proper tracking/stewardship of resolution/mitigation plans

–   Participate in validation exercises of OBO meters as and when required to ensure correct procedures are followed.

–   Report issues to measurement engineer.

–   Participate prover and tank calibration exercises

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

·         Diploma in Engineering or equivalent professional experience

·         2-5 years with BACKGROUND IN METERING (Allocation/Operational Meter Maintenance & Operations), ALLOCATION AND/OR INSTRUMENTATION

·         Broad knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria

·         Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs

·         Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
